Another 2 CP’s I had previously got to within a few mins of but didn’t get close enough to tick.
Once again opted for different routes and for cp2 chose to take the track from Inverbey parking and follow the Landrover track to Allt Christie Beag and then up to Gael Charn (878m). Here things went slightly awry in continued on to pt 920 on Carn Bhac, thinking this was just a well cairned Geal Charn. Headed down to Carn a Bhutha (907m) and was pretty confused. No sign of Loch Tilt and thought I was on Gael Charn. Headed down to west and was not making sense, and then mistake was added to mistake. I guess I headed to point 765, with still no sign of Loch Tilt. Back to basic map reading and realised I was west of Fealer Lodge. Question was down and back up Allt Garbh Buidhe or cot across direct. Opted for latter and was , shal I say good training and eventually got to Sron a’ Bhoididh. Down a steep slope to Alt an t Seilich and track to Bynack Lodge. Nice sunny pm so diverted off for a butchers at the Chest of Dee before heading back to van.
A good albeit harder than planned day.(1 more near miss to revisit)
