The team met as Alan's house at 7 am and we took two cars to Falkland in Fife for the Devil's Burden Relay race. It was a cold and grey day but the rain had cleared as Dave H and Gary set off on the first leg. There were patches of snow but these did not cause any problems as we ran around the muddy and slippery course. After sliding down the last descent we sprinted hard to hand over to Robbie who ran the second leg and passed many runners. Robbie handed over to Sam Long and Alan Sealy who had the toughest leg. There were no navigation errors and they made good progress. Sam was working hard to keep up with Alan on the tricky descents. Drew set off on the last leg with Fife AC about 30 seconds ahead. Drew did a great run and with a strong finish passed Fife. We were surprised and delighted to come in 7th place in a faster time than last year. Shettlestone were first and Cosmics did well coming in 5th.
