The conditions were cold and icy (particularly at the start in Falkland which was a skating rink) but mostly sunny, and the bogs were frozen which is always a good thing. The team was Gary Hughes and Owen Bass on leg 1, me on leg 2, Alan Smith and Robbie Simpson on leg 3 and Donald Kerridge on leg 4. Owen, Gary and I made sure there were lots of teams for Robbie and Alan to chase, which they did very successfully leaving Donald a gentle jog to neither gain nor lose any places (I can say that because Idon't think he will be reading this). Actually it was a very good performance from everyone, and a much better result than I thought was possible. And we beat the Cosmics by 25 minutes.
